I hope you have been enjoying your summer! I am very excited for this season. This year, we are looking to have the most members in the band in the past 10 years: 35! This is super exciting, but it also means that it is ever more likely that some information may have slipped through the cracks. Before we start Monday, I just wanted to post some of the information that was in the application and other places so that you can most easily find it.
Schedule
The Google Calendar will always be the most up to date way to find out anything about band. I put bus departure times, report times, practices, performances, and even school closings on there. If you have a question on schedule, check there first.
Pre-camp starts Monday (7/23)! Monday-Friday 9 - noon at PV. We will be working mostly on music, but will also be doing some marching indoors. Make sure to bring your instrument, a pencil, water, and close toed shoes to march!
Mud Ninja will be a drumline only performance this year. It is the last Saturday in July @J.L. Parker Farm. We will load up the drums into cars Friday. Call time the next day is 8am at Mud Ninja. You can park in the volunteer parking lot. You will need to swing by registration to sign a waiver to be at the site. (we won't be on an obstacle or anywhere dangerous, it's just for their protection if you do something dumb.)
Band Camp will be the following week 9-5 @PV. We will talk about that week every day during pre-camp and will post more about it later.
Communication
If you haven't already please sign up for the Marching Band Remind! Text "@pvmb" to 81010 to sing up for Remind.
Also, please request to join our closed FB group titled "Paint Valley Marching Band." You can find the group also by going to our Facebook Page and under the community tab you will see the linked group there.

Uniforms and Fees
On the first two days of Pre-Camp we will be fitting every member to a full uniform as well as getting glove, spat, and shoe sizes to order. We need to get those sizes ASAP so that we are ready for the first football game!
Additionally, we will need the summer uniform even earlier. Section Leaders have been reaching out for shirt and short sizes. If you have not heard from your section leader, reach out to another band member to stay in the loop!
With all of the ordering of uniform parts, the boosters would much appreciate it if you could have a check to pay for the uniform pieces you need made out to Paint Valley Band Boosters as soon as possible. As a reminder, here are all of the prices for the uniform pieces:
Summer Uniform Shirt - $24
Summer Uniform Shorts - $20
Full Uniform Shoes - $26
Hearing Protection (Drumline/Piccolo) - $20
