I hope you have had a fantastic summer so far! A few updates on the coming weeks!
Pre Camp begins next week (July 24) and will run M-F 9-12. We have hired in 4 additional staffers to myself to work with you this week to assist in learning the music for the season along with the basics of marching and field commands. This is also when we will be writing drill for each band member. It is important that you are in attendance and on time every day. Please speak with your section leaders if you have a conflict.
Band Camp will be the following week (July 31). It will be held 9AM-5PM M-F at Paint Valley High School. Please refer to the Marching Band Hand Book on attire and recommended packing. All students must have a large water bottle for Band Camp: non-optional. (pack a lunch)
All section leaders should have reached out to you already to touch base with you on camp next week. If you have not been contacted, or you have not gotten back with your SL, please do so before Pre Camp. We need your shirt and waist size to order summer uniforms. See earlier post for list of section leaders. All section leaders should be able to be reached by school e-mail.
We are looking to be in the mid 30's in numbers this year! This is incredible as 3 years ago we were in the low teens! The PVMB has really made a name for itself over the past few years we are positioned that this year is going to be the best year yet.
