- The SL Team is planning additional bonding events like a Wii tournament! Details released soon.
Ross County Band Directors Association Decisions:
Ross County Marching Band Festival
- Ross County Marching Band Festival is on pending Chillicothe Admin Approval.
- Spectators will be limited to keep within 15% capacity.
- Students will be counted as spectators so that we can allow the kids to watch the other bands from the stands.
- There will be a recording made so that each band can upload it to their private Google Classroom.
- If Chillicothe admin deny the event, Unioto is our backup location (for large stadium to accomodate fans).
- We will know by mid September for sure if the event is approved
Ross County Honor Band
- We voted to move RCHB to the spring so that it can be held and hosted outdoors.
- The new dates of the RCHB are April 30 (rehearsal) and May 1 (rehearsal + concert).
- The rehearsals and concert will be held outdoors in Yoctangee Park.
- Auditions will be virtual this year.
- There will be a cap on the number of performers due to the size of the Yoctangee stage.
- More details will be out as the event gets closer.
Misc Annoucements:
- I have bands for the ability to buy tickets at tomorrow's game!
- You must have a band in order to purchase a ticket Friday night.
- I gave out two to every student tonight.
- If you do not need both bands, please let me know so I can pass it off to another kid who asked for more than two.
- Remember to wear summer uniforms to the game tomorrow (including black socks).
- Saxophones are feeding the band Friday before the game!
- Be sure to bring your refillable waterbottle to the game!
- There will not be third quarter food provided this game. If you would like to bring money for a game snack, be sure to do that.
Thank you all for keeping with us! Congratulations to making it to the end of the first week of school!
