Welcome to the busiest week of the marching season. We have just two practices (only one for non drumline), a CB concert on Tuesday, Pumpkin Show on Thursday, Fall Festival of Leaves performance on Friday, Football game, and FFL Parade on Sunday. That being said, after this week, the end of the season is right in front of us!
As a side announcement, Paint Valley Bands' largest fundraiser is right around the corner: Christmas in the Valley. This one day Craft Bazaar makes the band $3-5,000. The money raised here will allow the band to upgrade our trailer, fund grants to purchase new percussion equipment, repair instruments, fund our college scholarship, and so much more.
To make this event happen, we need your help. Sign up to volunteer here. There are many ways to volunteer. If you cannot make it Saturday, we need help Friday night to set up. If you can't come in to the school, we need donations of Chicken and Noodles for the concessions. If you cannot make it in at all, donations of any kind are always appreciated. Thank you for your help to #FundTheBand.

Pumpkin Show Parade (10/17)
This is a massive parade of bands on Thursday night of the Pumpkin Show. We will not have practice on that day. Call time that evening is 5:30pm; bus leaves at 6:15pm; the parade step off is 8:00pm. We will be back in Bainbridge around midnight. Lucky for us, there is no school the next day!
Fall Festival of Leaves Performance & Football Game (10/18)
You do not have school this day! We will meet out in front of the band stand in downtown Bainbridge right across the street from the Paxton. Call time is 11:30am. Dress will be summer uniform top, and depending on the weather may be our summer uniform shorts or jeans. Our performance will start at 12:00 and last around a half hour. That evening, we will not have practice or food before the football game. Call time for the game will be 5:15, the bus will leave at 5:30pm.
Fall Festival of Leaves Parade (10/20)
This is a short parade through Bainbridge at the end of the Fall Festival of Leaves. Call time is 1:45 at the Bainbridge Historical Society, right next to where we performed on Friday for the Fall Festival of Leaves Performance. Our entire involvement with the parade will be over by 3:00pm.
Halloween Parade (10/26)
In this parade we combine with other Ross County Schools to form a super-mega Band with around 100 people in it. This is a fun experience to give the students for what it feels like to march in a large band and it is fun to play with the other musicians in the county. To make this parade happen, call time is 4:10, bus leaves at 4:30, and we will arrive in Chillicothe around 5:00 for a rehearsal with all of the participating bands. Step off for the parade is 7:00. We will be back at the school anywhere from 8:30-10:00 depending upon our parade placement. Finally, we wear costumes for this parade! Be sure to dress warm, however. The past few years have been cold ones.
See you tomorrow!
